When we started building bots, we quickly ran into a problem: every platform claimed to have "the best bot API." The reality was far messier — undocumented edge cases, silent rate-limiting, webhook failures under load, and SDK code that hadn't been touched in years.
gonermsg was built to cut through that noise. We deploy real bots on every platform we review, stress-test their APIs, and score them on criteria that actually matter to developers shipping production bots.
We're not affiliated with any messenger platform. Nobody pays for placement or can buy a better score. Our income comes from readers who appreciate independent research — not from the companies we evaluate.
Every quarter we re-run our tests to account for API changes and platform updates. If a platform improves, its score improves. If it regresses, the score reflects that too.
No sponsored scores, no affiliate relationships with reviewed platforms. Our rankings reflect test results only.
We build and run actual bots for a minimum of 30 days per platform before publishing any score.
Bot APIs change fast. We re-test each platform quarterly and publish changelogs when scores shift.
